Construction of new Casa Grande school to begin next month

Construction on a long-awaited school in Casa Grande will begin in September.
On Thursday the Governing Board of the Casa Grande Elementary School District heard an update on the construction of a new combined campus for Casa Grande Middle School and Saguaro Elementary School. The new campus will integrate the two schools into one while maintaining separate facilities for the respective grade levels. Sports fields, parking lots and administrative offices will be combined.
Voters approved $43 million in bonds last November, with about $23 million of that money being earmarked toward the new school.
