Coolidge Adult Center gets a facelift

Senior citizens within Coolidge have typically been known to rely on the Adult Center as a place to convene and enjoy each other’s company. Now, the center is also a place for seniors to explore healthy lifestyle options.

On Thursday the Coolidge Parks and Recreation Department unveiled several updates made to the center, including two new facilities. The improvements include a new movie room, which features new flooring, fresh paint, a flat screen TV and new furniture.

“Everything in there is brand new (and) bought locally from Brown’s (Coolers),” said Parks and Rec Director Ricky LaPaglia. “The flooring was (also) done locally by Shaw’s Interior.”
