In an opportunity for the public to “Get to Know” the candidates, the five city council hopefuls participated in a forum where they explained a little about themselves and answered questions about the current state of the city of Coolidge.

Moderated by State Rep. T.J. Shope, the forum gave incumbents Jacque Hendrie-Henry and Steve Hudson, former councilmember Jimmy Walker, and relative newcomers Kevin Todd and Chris Fox, the space to talk briefly about why they decided to run for council and what they believe are the important issues facing the city.

After briefly introducing themselves, the candidates were asked a handful of questions by Shope, which they could answer but were permitted from debating with their fellow candidates, which made for a civil discussion.

Questions were submitted from Chamber of Commerce members and audience members.
