Three resolutions designed to make the city of Coolidge more alluring to potential businesses seeking a new home were officially passed by the City Council during Monday’s meeting.

The resolutions adopt three major amendments to the city’s 2025 General Plan, changing the land use classification on two different properties from Urban Neighborhood to Industrial & Manufacturing and adding commerce park to the list of available zoning categories for both the Business & Commerce and Industrial & Manufacturing land uses.

The amendments, first proposed in mid-November alongside the annexation of approximately 857 acres of land on Cornman Road, are part of an effort to ease the rezoning process for incoming manufacturing companies working with Pinal Land Holdings.
