Council mulls over potential CDBG funding

With the federal government still operating on a budget left in place by the Obama administration, Eloy is looking to take advantage of grants that are still available to rehab low-income housing or to go towards an infrastructure project.
City officials just have to decide what projects to apply for.
The maximum amount of funding the city might receive from Community Development Block Grants is $300,000. At Monday night’s city council meeting the council and mayor debated with the public about what the best option would be.
