County hopes new IP park in Florence trains tech workers

Pinal County officials are excited about the potential for a new “Innovation Pavilion” business park in Florence to help educate a technical workforce for thousands of new jobs.

Education is just one part of what IP calls its “entrepreneurial ecosystem” designed to grow businesses, attract talented young employees and develop municipal and corporate projects.

Pinal County became a partner in helping to bring IP to Florence after Town Manager Brent Billingsley asked if the county could invest $100,000. Pinal County Manager Greg Stanley said he replied the best way the county could participate would be through its Business Assistance Program, and the county has yet to pay IP any money.
