Edison Pointe Retail Center Set to Begin Construction

As Maricopa’s population nears 50,000, developers are recognizing the community’s potential and are set to invest millions of dollars in a new retail center. Vintage Partners is performing site work on 14 acres of vacant land at the northeast corner of Edison Road and John Wayne Parkway with construction expected to begin later this year. Vintage Partners acquired the shovel-ready site in 2012, while Maricopa was still dealing with the effects of the economic downturn. The revised site plan was submitted to the City for approval in late 2015 and Vintage Partners has been working to finalize tenants over the past year. The 130,000 square foot development will provide space for large anchor tenants on the eastern portion of the site with restaurant and smaller retail spaces along John Wayne Parkway and Edison Road. The tenants currently in the work include Ross Dress for Less, Burger King, Brakes Plus, Goodwill, Planet Fitness, PetCo and Dunkin Donuts; Vintage Partners is continuing efforts to attract a full-service restaurant to the site.
