Election 2016: Miller thinks there’s always room to shrink Pinal County’s budget

CASA GRANDE — Pinal County Supervisor Steve Miller admitted to being a bit of a numbers guy.

During an interview with the Casa Grande Dispatch, he pulled out a spreadsheet and pointed out how his district has underspent its budget in the last two fiscal years. The size of his budget has also dropped considerably during that time and is the smallest among the five supervisors.

Miller said skimping on small items like subscriptions and memberships over time has helped to lower his expenses. It’s something he thinks all of the county’s departments could do as well.
