Election warehouse opens in Coolidge

CoolidgeThe public got their first look during an open house on June 18 at a newly renovated county building in Coolidge that, in a very short time, has been made capable of handling elections.

Located on 188 Main St., at the heart of downtown Coolidge, the new Pinal County Election Department warehouse will be the location of the collection and counting of ballot on a permanent basis after a fire in February destroyed much of the previous facility in Florence. The warehouse is now fully functional, and County Recorder Virginia Ross said the department is on schedule for the primary elections taking place Aug. 26.
