Gila River hopes new gas station becomes destination

Located just beyond the Coolidge city limits sits a brand new Shell gas station, which will officially open on Aug. 4.

Positioned at the intersection of State Route 287 and Signal Peak Road, the new station sets itself apart from traditional convenience stores.

One of the biggest differentiators: It’s developed by Wild Horse Pass Development Authority, known for having developed five other gas stations, all on tribal land, around Arizona, including near Wild Horse Pass Casino along Interstate 10.
