Grand jury issues subpoena for RICO-related documents under Babeu administration

Former Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu’s administration has once again come under the spotlight in connection with alleged RICO fund misuse.
Reports surfaced Friday that a new subpoena was issued for documents from Babeu’s entire time in office.
The latest subpoena, which states that a federal grand jury is connected to a criminal investigation, requests records relating to alleged RICO fund misuse among PCSO employees from the start of 2009 to the end of 2016, when Babeu served as sheriff.
