Grant turns Stanfield bus into ‘rolling study hall’

For students in the Stanfield Elementary School District 24, the bus ride to school can often seem as strenuous as the school day itself. But that journey is about to get easier for some due to a grant the district recently received.
In September, the district was awarded the Homework Gap Grant from Kajeet. Kajeet is a company that works to offer safe, mobile student internet connectivity. Its services provide off-campus wireless broadband for school districts and mobile phones and service for kids.
This semester, Kajeet took a step toward the philanthropic side and decided to award grants to school districts that otherwise would not be able to afford their services.
