Impressive video shows blasting on US 60 construction

The Arizona Department of Transportation has been blasting the mountainous terrain along US 60 between Superior and Globe with construction of a new passing lane from Devils Canyon to Oak Flat.
The department recently released video of some of the blasting.
When completed, this $8.8 million safety improvement project will make it easier for motorists to pass large trucks and slow-moving vehicles whose speed drops because of the sustained grades along this stretch of highway.
