Johnson Utilities reports high level of nitrate in drinking water

Johnson Utilities announced Wednesday that its drinking water has tested above the maximum level of nitrate.

In a press release, the San Tan Valley utility company said it received lab results on Tuesday that showed nitrate levels of 11 mg/L. The limit before drinking water becomes dangerous is 10 mg/L, so the company issued a drinking water warning for its customers.
