FLORENCE — The town’s annexation of some 4,200 new residents in Magic Ranch, Wildhorse Estates and Crestfield Manor — which was set to take effect Friday — has been put on hold by the filing of two lawsuits by six of the affected residents.

Assistant Town Manager Jess Knudson said the lawsuits delay the annexations even before a judge takes any action.
