O’Halleran undecided about Pelosi leadership in House

Incoming U.S. Rep. Tom O’Halleran, D-Sedona, says he’s not sure whether to support a change in Democratic leadership in the House of Representatives.

The congressman-elect has spent the last few days in the nation’s capital, getting oriented on all the logistics of working in Congress. It’s a time when the House Democrats’ top job remains uncertain after Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, announced last Thursday he was challenging House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

A secret-ballot election on Nov. 30 will determine the party’s next House leader, before O’Halleran is sworn in, so he currently doesn’t have an opinion on whether a shake-up in leadership needs to happen.
