Panel recommends 3 for Pinal County Superior Court opening

PHOENIX — A state commission has recommended three sitting judges for appointment to a Pinal County Superior Court vacancy.
The three nominees include Superior Court Commissioners Delia R. Neal and Lawrence M. Wharton and Christopher J. O’Neil, the presiding Judge of the Casa Grande Municipal Court.
Neal is an independent and O’Neil and Wharton are Republicans.
Gov. Doug Ducey will choose among the three to fill the opening created by the retirement of Judge Gilberto Figueroa.
