PCAO: Coolidge councilman in the clear on residency

Following public allegations proclaiming that Coolidge Councilman Robert Hudelson does not reside within the city limits, Pinal County Attorney Kent Volkmer said there is not enough evidence to declare a vacancy.

In an official response to City Attorney Denis Fitzgibbons, the Pinal County Attorney’s Office stated that “pursuant to applicable statutory and case law, there is insufficient evidence to declare that a vacancy exists.”

In October 2016, Hudelson purchased a property on Escrito Road in Saddelbrooke in southern Pinal County. Shortly after, a complaint was filed with the PCAO, which made allegations that Hudelson did not reside at the Coolidge property he was leasing.
