Property tax rate decreases slightly

The Coolidge City Council decided Monday to keep revenue intake at the same level as last year, meaning the property tax rate would decline ever so slightly for area property owners.

“If we keep the amount the same as we had in the current fiscal year it actually drives our rate down, very slightly, because the assessed values went up,” Finance Director Lisa Pannella told the council.
