Referendum petition filed against APEX Motor Club

APEX Motor Club has received approval from the Maricopa City Council and endorsements from several agencies around the city.
Now, it might need the support of Maricopa’s residents.
A petition was filed last week with the city seeking a referendum on the council’s decision to approve a conditional use permit for APEX in April. The permit allows APEX to develop 280 acres on the northwest corner of Ralston Road and State Route 238 for a private motor sports club to include a private race track and condos where members could keep their vehicles.
