In split vote, Pinal denies San Tan Valley fire district

Acknowledgement of hard work and a good plan was given, but in the end, a lack of bond money put out the chances of a San Tan Valley fire district on Wednesday.
The Pinal County Board of Supervisors admitted the plan put forth by Travis Williams and others spearheading the San Tan Valley fire district organizing committee was well constructed and researched. But the organizing committee did not raise $15,000 in bond money required by the County, and the board voted 3-2 to reject the impact statement for the fire district.
