Two Pinal schools receive technology grants

Two Pinal County schools have received grants that will direct money into classrooms for STEM education.

The science, technology, engineering and mathematics grants were awarded to Casa Grande’s Desert Willow Elementary School for Innovation Stations and “resources that foster creativity, critical thinking and real- world problem-solving using the disciplines of STEAM (including art) to prepare (students) for a globally competitive workspace,” and to Circle Cross Ranch Academy in Florence, which will use its portion for purchasing six Ozobot robots and a 3-D printer.

Desert Willow received $2,247, and Circle Cross received $2,500.
