Volunteer search and rescue group forming at Casa Grande airport

A volunteer search and rescue group based out of the Casa Grande airport is being formed.

John Soto is the mastermind behind the organization, AZSAR-TAC, which will be run as an all-volunteer group. He said the idea is to provide support for Pinal County law enforcement agencies in special search and rescue missions. What makes his group special, he said, is that he’s also recruited four local pilots to assist with the project.

“I reached out to Jack (Dixon) and he put me in contact with the other three pilots,” Soto said.
