Maricopa Tea Party elects new leader
Local realtor Kelly Kammer has been appointed chairman of the Maricopa Tea Party Movement. The purpose of the group is to research and endorse political candidates and issues the have the interests of the Citizens in mind.
Kammer explained in a press release that the Tea Party, which is not a political party, represents the conservative wings of the Republican, Democrat and Independent parties.
Kammer encourages the community to come to meetings to support the groups’ endeavors and learn more.
Meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at Maricopa Community Church at 44977 Hathaway Ave (across from the post office).
