San Carlos Hotel remembered, memorialized
By Susan Randall | Casa Grande Dispatch
The San Carlos Hotel was once the most modern and luxurious hotel in Casa Grande. Most of its foundation still can be seen today near First and Sacaton streets. The missing concrete was hammered out and replaced with roses, cactus and trees by Bill Trulove, a member of the pioneer family who built a big hotel in a city of 948 people.
