County resumes work on 40-acre flood mitigation project in Arizona City

Work on Arizona City’s long-anticipated flood mitigation project, at the south-west corner of Henness Road and Battaglia Drive, resumed Monday, June 23 following a lengthy delay.
The problems began when the county discovered two existing sewer lines at the site which had to be relocated. At first there was some dispute as to which agency was be responsible for the cost of relocating the sewer lines – the Arizona City Sanitary District or Pinal County itself.
