Town of Hayden to make budget cuts
By Mila Besich-Lira | Copper Basin News
Last week the Town of Hayden approved its annual budget at $8.5 million.
With the current amount budgeted the council announced that there will be close to $600,000 in cuts to the budget. Those exact cuts were not announced publicly during the regular session meeting but will be covered in future meetings. Some of the ideas to cut the funds were addressed in a work session earlier in the month; some of the suggestions are cutting town employees down to 72 hour work weeks, increasing fees for golf course and ramada use, and also evaluating town positions that could be part time positions.
