Arizona City – Eloy fire chief: No deal until election

ARIZONA CITY — The Arizona City Fire District board faces another delay in its longtime effort to replace its fire chief.
Heading into its regular meeting Wednesday, the board had been looking into the possibility of entering into an intergovernmental agreement with the Eloy Fire District. But Eloy Fire Chief Coy Amerson sent a letter dated Sept. 12 to Interim Chief Jeremy Leary with copies sent to each board member, cooling the idea.
