CAC Maricopa Campus design continues to wow

MARICOPA — Central Arizona College’s Maricopa Campus added yet another architecture award last week when Arizona Forward recognized it for outstanding environmental achievement.
It is the eighth such architecture award the campus has received, and it has been recognized nationally for its metal construction and interior design.
“This is a validation for Pinal County and for Central Arizona College and the investment that the community has made,” said Mark Kranz, architect and design principal with SmithGroupJJR, the architectural firm that designed the campus. “It has really raised the bar and is pushing the envelope as it relates to doing the right thing.”
Arizona Forward is an organization with a mission to provide a balance on sustainability and to be an advocate for balance between economic development and environmental quality.
