Pinal County Supervisors: Pay raises for 3 posts approved by board

Pinal CountyFLORENCE — It’s hard to tell where the Pinal County Board of Supervisors stands in regard to spending.

The five supervisors frequently espouse the virtues of fiscal restraint. But on Wednesday, they approved salary increases for employees in the attorney and assessor offices.

County Attorney Lando Voyles has been the recipient of much of the board’s fiscal generosity since he took office following his November 2012 election. Almost immediately after Voyles took office, the board approved a $1 million-plus restructuring of his office.
