Casa Grande judge is new Eloy magistrate

After nearly three drama-filled months surrounding the City court, the Eloy City Council approved the hiring of a new City magistrate Monday evening.
Former Casa Grande Justice of the Peace and Pinal County Presiding Justice of the Peace Roger Valdez officially takes his seat as Eloy’s city judge April 6.
Valdez lost in his Justice of the Peace re-election campaign last November. He currently works as the courtroom clerk manager at the Pinal County Courthouse. He also has four years experience as a pro tempore prior to his four-year term as Casa Grande JP.
