Kirkpatrick pushing to help veterans

U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick visited Casa Grande Tuesday to discuss veterans affairs, state infrastructure and job growth.
The congresswoman toured a new mobile service facility developed by the Honoring, Hiring, Helping Our Heroes of Pinal County organization. Recently named “Eagle 1,” the mobile unit will travel to the county’s communities and offer services to veterans.
The organization’s chairwoman, Kim Rodriguez, showcased some of the facility’s features to Kirkpatrick including a medical examination table and counter space to hook up computers. Rodriguez said the unit will reach veterans incapable of traveling to Veterans Affairs offices in Tucson or Phoenix.
