CAP trail in the works

Pinal County is living up to its motto “wide open opportunity” as it rolls out a planning process for the Central Arizona Project (CAP) Trail.
An open house is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in the Historic Courthouse Ironwood Room, 135 N. Pinal St. in Florence.
The CAP trail is recognized as a National Recreational Trail (multi use, non-motorized) and would extend the entire 336 mile distance of the canal, including close to 100 miles in Pinal County.
