Study: Pinal County boasts state’s richest retirees

Pinal County retirees could be the wealthiest in Arizona.
According to a new study, Pinal County residents are the top collectors of Social Security income in Arizona. The study conducted by the retirement website SmartAsset measured Social Security benefits across the country to determine where the average Social Security payments are the highest and go the farthest.
In Arizona, Pinal County had the highest annual payout of $18,951 per beneficiary, edging out Mohave County at $18,627 and Maricopa County at $18, 526
