120-foot cell tower near Casa Grande approved

Faster Internet speeds and a better ability to use high-powered apps should soon be available to people in northeast Casa Grande.

The Pinal County Planning and Zoning Commission thought the 120-foot wireless communications tower would be an eyesore, but the Board of Supervisors disagreed on Wednesday and voted 5-0 to approve a special use permit to construct and operate the tower.

The applicant, Pinnacle Consulting, agreed to abide by 10 stipulations set forth by the planning commission.
