BLM to hold meeting on road work on route to proposed landfill near Florence

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management will host a public meeting Wednesday to provide information about a proposed road improvement project leading to a proposed regional landfill.
The owners of the planned Silver Bar Mine Regional Landfill are seeking right of way to improve and utilize existing roads on public lands to access the privately owned landfill site.
The meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. until approximately 8 p.m. at the Historic Courthouse in Florence at 135 N. Pinal St. The purpose of the meeting is to present information about BLM’s proposed decision to approve the right of way. A presentation on the project will start at 6:45 p.m.
