Casa Grande agrees to lease for vets memorial

A memorial project honoring Pinal County’s fallen veterans is moving forward, six years after its proposal.
Casa Grande City Council members have approved a 20-year lease agreement with Pinal County Veterans Memorial Foundation, allowing the organization to build a memorial at the entrance of Ed Hooper Rodeo Park.
Tom Bagnall, the foundation’s president, said it was a “labor of love” drafting the lease agreement with the city. He was hoping to have this phase completed about a year ago, though he said it took longer crafting the lease’s language.
