CASA GRANDE — After careful consideration, Councilman Karl Montoya has determined he’s fully committed to serving a third term on the Casa Grande City Council.

Montoya recently filed political committee paperwork that announced his re-election campaign for the council. Councilwomen Lisa Fitzgibbons and Mary Kortsen announced their re-election campaigns last month, and Montoya admitted it took him a little longer to decide whether to run again.

There are now six prospective candidates interested in filling the three seats open for election this year. Former Casa Grande Police Chief Bob Huddleston, former Pinal County Supervisor David Snider and former Students Against Destructive Decisions leader Donna McBride join the three council members in vying for the three spots.
