With the deadline under a month away to submit completed packets to get on the Aug. 30 election ballot for Mayor and City Council seats, Mayor Jon Thompson has a clear path back to his seat at the council table.
Coolidge Mayor Jon Thompson is so far the only one to pick up a packet and submit his paperwork.
For City Council, Jacque Hendrie-Henry and Steve Hudson have both turned in their completed city council packets to run for re-election in their two seats.
The third seat, which Gilbert Lopez was appointed to after Judy Rotz-Lopez resigned, has only one application submitted from so far, from Christopher Fox.
The packets became available on May 2, and the deadline to submit their completed packets to run for office, and be placed on the ballot for the Aug. 30 election is June 1 by 5 p.m.
