unction Accepting Proposals to Buy Residential Properties
APACHE JUNCTION — The city of Apache Junction is seeking proposals to purchase vacant dilapidated residential properties located within a redevelopment area of the city with the goal of negotiating possible purchases.
“This is a chance to raise the profile of the entire community,” said Janine Solley, economic development director for the city of Apache Junction. “Redeveloping these properties creates affordable, safe housing for those who want to live in our great city. This also eliminates vacant properties that can have negative effects on the neighborhood.”
To be considered for this program, each property owner shall provide to the city:
- A letter indicating their interest to either sell or donate said property;
- Proof of ownership;
- Address of subject property;
- Certification the property is vacant;
- Name and contact information including phone number, email address and physical address.
Proposals will be accepted at the city’s Development Services Department, Attention: Heather Patel, 300 E. Superstition Blvd., Apache Junction, AZ, 85119, until 5 p.m. on July 6.
Requirements, additional information, or to verify if your property is located within a redevelopment area may be obtained by contacting Ms. Patel at (480) 474-2635, by email at [email protected], or by visiting the Development Services Department at 300 E. Superstition Blvd.
The City of Apache Junction reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities and technicalities.
