City staff received the go ahead from the Coolidge City Council authorizing submission of a grant application to the Federal Aviation Administration to refurbish and extend runways and taxiways at Coolidge Airport.
The total estimated project cost is $1,670,635. FAA’s part will be $1,521,280.00 with the City and ADOT chipping in $74,677 each.
The City is almost finished with the design grant for the taxiway B and B4 rehabilitation and extension. The grant agreement previously approved by the council for the design anticipates that the City would start construction of the taxiway improvements within two years.
