Coolidge teachers to get 3% raise

Prop. 123 will provide the funding

COOLIDGE — Teachers in the Coolidge Unified School District will get a 3-percent salary hike thanks to an additional $705,000 from Proposition 123 money.

The base salary addition for all certified employees is intended to continue each year the funding is available at a cost next year of $178,556.31. The district will also give a one-time $1,000 (prorated based on full-time status) stipend for all classified employees.

Governing Board President T.J. Shope used the word “spectacular” after being able to get the money in staff’s hands following the passage of Prop. 123 last month.
