Hometown heroes honored
ELOY — Memorial Day is a time to thank and memorialize the service members who fought and died to preserve liberty.
All too often, these service men and women are looked at solely for their sacrifice. The reality is that these were sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, cousins and friends with a host of lives they touched before their service began.
Throughout Main Street in downtown Eloy, there are posters labeled “Hometown Heroes” flying from every utility pole with a picture of a veteran from the town who has passed, whether it was in combat or from natural cause.
