Apache Junction Mayor John Insalaco is the new secretary of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority. The airport authority board elects the chair and other officers from the six board members on an annual basis.
City of Mesa Mayor John Giles on July 19 was elected chair of the airport authority. Town of Gilbert Councilwoman Jenn Daniels will serve as vice-chairwoman, Gila River Indian Community Lt. Gov. Monica Antone will serve as treasurer, town of Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney will serve as director and city of Phoenix Councilwoman Thelda Williams will serve as director.
