PPEP Tec has new school building, new program
CASA GRANDE — PPEP Tec will start the school year with a new facility and a new blended learning program that aims to help kids earn accelerated credits and obtain their high school diploma at a quicker pace than before.
The school will host an open house and ribbon cutting at its new school facility at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at 490 W. McMurray Blvd., near the corner of Pinal Avenue.
Enrollment has been gradually increasing over the years, which prompted school officials to seek out a new, more spacious facility, said Keith Greer, onsite administrator for PPEP Tec in Casa Grande.
“We outgrew the old facility,” Greer said.
Since the school opened in Casa Grande nearly 20 years ago, it’s been located mostly on Florence Boulevard.
The new facility can accommodate 100 daytime students as well as 100 evening students, he said. Last year the school had more than 90 students enrolled and graduated a class of 28.
