Board of Supervisors signs off on new bonds for STV hospital
The Pinal County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a motion this week to allow the Maricopa County Industrial Development Authority to finance or refinance a San Tan Valley hospital facility.
Banner Ironwood Medical Center, on North Gantzel Road, opened its 80-acre campus in 2010 thanks to a portion of bond money received by Banner Health two years prior through the Arizona Health Facilities Authority.
Bill Wilder, an attorney for the Maricopa County Industrial Development Authority and Industrial Development Authority of Pinal County, told the supervisors at their regular meeting Wednesday that “under Arizona legislation adopted this year, the Arizona Health Facilities Authority ceased to exist.”
