First phase of Casa Grande raceway to cost at least $60M more than first estimated

A portion of the first phase of the massive, 2,360-acre motor sports center Attesa in Casa Grande will cost at least $60 million more than developers first estimated.

Chandler-based Danrick Builders first estimated the cost of construction for the first phase of the project — which will likely start in 2017 — to be $250 million, though the group was still awaiting full approval from the city and Pinal County, and had not actively sought out investors.
