Race in Casa Grande now down to 4

Fitzgibbons re-elected; candidates in other area cities also win outright

City Councilwoman Lisa Fitzgibbons has officially been re-elected to serve another term.

Casa Grande City Clerk Remy Miller declared Tuesday that Fitzgibbons received enough votes in last week’s primary election to win one of three open council seats. She will not have to run again in November’s general election, when the two remaining seats will be filled.

The four candidates that received enough votes to move on to the general election include retired Casa Grande Police Chief Bob Huddleston, Councilwoman Mary Kortsen, Pinal County Juvenile Court Program Administrator Donna McBride and former Pinal County Supervisor David Snider.
