The Pinal County seat is one of the most tax-friendly places for retirees in Arizona, according to an analysis by SmartAsset, a New York-based financial technology company.

The company concludes that Arizona is “a good but not great choice” for retirees hoping to save on taxes.

The analysis ranks cities on a “retirement tax friendliness index,” which takes into account property, income, fuel, sales and Social Security tax data. Income tax for the typical retiree was the same in all 10 Arizona cities cited, and none of the cities taxed Social Security.
