Far less being spent this year in CD1 race
CD1 campaign sees less money from outside AZ
Arizona’s 1st Congressional District race has so far not seen as much spending from national political committees compared to the last election cycle.
The race has been categorized as “leaning Democrat” in favor of former state Sen. Tom O’Halleran, according to the University of Virginia Center for Politics, over Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, the Republican candidate.
But neither candidate has received the level of financial support dispersed in 2014 when U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick ran for reelection against Republican Andy Tobin.
